So,
If you ever get to the east by and I'll try to get there ASAP and we can do this #1 Lunch.
Along with the fried chicken sandwich I ordered strawberry shortcake (which later became dinner) and they gave me a nice slightly tart slushy house-made lemonade. You could see the crates of lemons outside. The slush was so good. Most Patrons take their trays outside to eat on the sidewalk under trees at low metal ironing-board tables and stools, but I had to leave to make a presentation in an hour. So I took my lunch treasure along with me except for the slushy which quickly became history.
Later that night in my hotel room I enjoyed the Strawberry Shortcake. This was unquestionably the best shortcake I've had in 20 years with a perfect shortcake really red, sweet berries and a perfect shortcake covered with the strawberry drippings and a dollop of whiped cream. Man. This was good. It was also so robust that it served as dinner. The only strawberry shortcake that has been better or even close to this treat has been made by my Grandmother and Mother respectively. This thing was so darn good it was almost a religous experience. It brought me back to my childhood days in the strawberry fields where I picked and ate picked and ate and whined.
